Twenty-six.
Its notable that I read many of the classic English and American novels as a direct result of my mother buying me a "children's library" when I was about eight or so. Another significant whack occurred during a two year period where I read a lot of classics in the original French to help my fluency. I was gratified to see Dune on the list, but its a six book series, not a single book. I got ripped for five books. On the other hand, I read one Harry Potter book cover to cover and stopped--too puerile, but I wanted to see what everyone was so excited about.
I was surprised that there were no Mark Twain books on the list. That seems like a massive oversight and would have significantly improved my score.
